MY "TOP FIVE"
e33 owner William Weil shares his top five sailing moments on his e33 ‘Timoneer’, all from a summer 2009 family overnight adventure.
Late this summer the Weil family (Mom, Dad and their three kids ages nine, seven and five) embarked on their yearly overnight journey choosing beautiful Frenchboro, ME. Setting out from Stonington, the family spent the better part of a day getting to Frenchboro, which is located on a remote island about ten miles off the coast of Mount Desert Island. They sailed out past Isle au Haut and below Swans Island - in hopes of glimpsing a whale. Unfortunately no whales were spotted, but they did see plenty of porpoises and seals, much to the children’s delight! After a hike on the island to get the sillies out, and a requisite stop at Lunt's Lobster Pound (to pay for their mooring), they snuggled into their e33 and made pasta and sauce for dinner. The morning dawned early (at least for the kids) and Weils tried to keep quiet among the cruisers nearby as they ate breakfast. Then they had an amazing and invigorating sail home, hitting 7+ knots, towing their dinghy. Much fun was had by all! |

GARY JOBSON SAILS THE e33
This past fall countless sailing enthusiasts visited with e Sailing Yachts at the Newport International Boatshow and the US International Sailboat Show in Annapolis, MD. We took more than a hundred people out for e33 demo sails, and were particularly honored when Gary Jobson asked to sail with us in Annapolis. Here’s what Gary had to say about the e33:
